Happy almost birthday

Yesterday was filled with all my favorite things: running, shopping, friends, seafood, wine and Jason.

I began the day with a 5K. It was the worst time I've ever had in a 5K by at least 6 minutes. I don't know what was wrong with me. I just felt sluggish and it was hilly and at times I stopped to walk which is something that I've never done such a short race. In fact, the only race that I've ever walked in at all was the marathon. Anyway, my time sucked but it was fun anyway and I got a t-shirt that said 420fest 5K. After the race, Jason and I went to this tiny little restaurant in Candler Park. I treated myself and had sweet potato pancakes. I probably ate one and a half.

I did some shopping and then met up with my friends at Six Feet Under for dinner. They had a fabulous patio with views of the city. The weather was perfect. I had on a short sleeved shirt and wasn't cold. I ate 2 pieces of fried shrimp, a fried green tomato, a taste of calamari, fish stew (my entree), some bread and some of Emily's fries. And lots of wine. Needless to say, it wasn't the healthiest of meals but I'm trying not to let it bother me. It was my birthday dinner, after all.

After dinner, we went to The Local for drinks. I had a little too much fun and pulled a classic Lee move and proceeded to start to fall asleep at the table. I had fun though. I also ate some boiled peanuts.

I had a really fun night. What I remember of it! Lol, you only turn 30 once. (And I'm still 29 for a few more hours.)

Oh, and Jason bought me The Stick which we saw at the ING marathon expo.
